13th Hole, Sandeel

Portpatrick Dunskey Course offers an undulating links type layout which is a challenge to all levels of Golfers, especially when the fierce wind blows from across the Irish Sea. The 11th hole, 138 yards from the forward tee, can be especially challenging, depending on wind direction, requiring anything from a 9-iron to a driver.

The 13th hole, Sandeel, never fails to inspire awe when visitors encounter its breathtaking view across the sea as they round the green. It is justly remembered as Dunskey's signature hole by all who visit.

Easily reached by all modes of transport, visitors to the area are always very impressed by the Rhins and the Machars, the two totally different parts of historic Wigtownshire. They are also astounded by the quiet tranquility and natural beauty of the hills, coastline and picturesque towns and villages - plus the peaceful driving conditions.

When the sun sets over the West, its rays light up Ireland's coastline like gemstones, the perfect ending to a relaxing day of golf.
